Physical therapy has been proven an essential part of treatment for arthritis. While the arthritic joint itself can not be changed, the focus of physical therapy is management of the disease. There are several key factors to managing the disease including: education on more stable positions for the joints, stabilization exercises to improve joint stability, instruction in assistive devices if needed and self stretches to improve mobility.

They have both personally lived with a connective tissue disorder and have experienced the daily struggle to maintain an active lifestyle with minimal pain. Stan has produced a unique training program in which clients learn to protectively posture and to actively stabilize the joints in safe positions throughout their various daily activities, including sport participation.
Tried stretching, ice, orthotics, and still in pain? Did you know that the way you sit can irritate your plantar fasciitis? So can the way you stand and walk. We believe that 80% of the treatment for plantar fasciitis is teaching you what NOT to do. By determining what positions you are in that are over-stretching the fascia and causing an increase in the inflammation, symptoms are drastically reduced and you are given a long term cure for your symptoms.
Stride length and running form correction are key with all running injuries. We evaluate and film your running form. Whether you are suffering from plantar fascitis, IT band syndrome, hip bursitis, shin splints, or tendonitis, altering your stride length or form errors are key to your long term recovery. There is more to physical therapy than just theraband exercises and massage to get you back to the races quickly.
Stan has extensive experience in running, cross-country, track as well as a sub-specialty in the treatment of overuse injuries of the foot and leg. In this video he shows you how to have proper cadence to decrease joint pain while running.
