Getting Up From a Chair Without Knee Pain: Pain Pain Go Away!
Updated: Mar 20
As a dancer I always had some pain in the inside of the knee, just below the joint. I was surprised when it didn't go away when I wasn't dancing anymore. Then I overheard a little birdie (yes, it was Stan) telling a patient that it was important to line your knees up with your second toe. Anytime your knee is slightly or severely inside the hip line, it puts stress and strain on the tendons on the inside of the knee as well as your hips, low back and ankles. I made it a point to watch that my knees were not falling inwards when I was getting up and down from a chair. Voila! my constant knee pain went away. Click below for a short video description.
